Yucca potosina is a distinctive and highly architectural yucca known for its broad, rigid leaves and strong, symmetrical rosette. With its bold form and densely arranged foliage, this species has the presence of a mature landscape specimen even when young, making it an excellent choice for collectors and dry-climate gardens.
Native to northeastern Mexico, Yucca potosina brings structure, texture, and a distinctly desert character to gardens and containers. Its substantial rosette and stiff, blue-green to green foliage make it particularly striking as a focal point in xeric, Mediterranean, and contemporary landscapes.
These plants are grown from seed in our Ventura, California nursery. Individual plants may exhibit subtle variations in form, color, growth habit, and other characteristics. For collectors, these natural differences are part of what makes seed-grown plants especially rewarding to grow.
This plant is grown from ethically sourced seed.
Seed-grown plants contribute to the genetic diversity of the species and help preserve healthy, resilient populations in cultivation.
For collectors, the variation found in seed-grown plants offers the opportunity to grow an individual with its own distinctive character as it matures.
Plants are carefully packed and shipped bare-root. Shipping bare-root helps ensure safe transit and allows us to provide the most economical shipping rates possible.
