Ferocactus (F. echidne × glaucescens)
A striking hybrid between two Mexican barrel cactus species, Ferocactus echidne × glaucescens combines the refined rib structure and blue cast of F. glaucescens with the strong form and character of F. echidne. Globular in habit and beautifully symmetrical with age, this hybrid develops a cool blue-green coloration that contrasts especially well against its golden summer flowers.
Its balanced shape, subtle coloration, and clean spine structure make this an excellent collector cactus for containers, dry gardens, and architectural plantings. As the plants mature, they develop increased presence and sculptural quality while remaining manageable in size for long-term cultivation.
