Clone: This plant was cloned from one of our Mother Plants.
Rare: This plant is very hard to find anywhere else. We specialize in rare plants, and are the only growers of some species.
Dyckia ‘Burgundy Ice’ is a striking terrestrial bromeliad prized for its sculptural rosette, sharply toothed foliage, and rich burgundy tones. Its architectural form and dramatic coloration make it an eye-catching addition to collections of unusual bromeliads, succulents, and other arid-adapted plants. Incredible color to add to any garden!
Grown at our Ventura, California nursery and propagated from offsets, each plant is established through vegetative propagation. As it matures, the rosette develops into a distinctive specimen, with foliage coloration influenced by light exposure, growing conditions, and the plant’s stage of development.
Well suited to containers, rock gardens, and carefully designed drought-adapted plantings, Dyckia ‘Burgundy Ice’ offers a combination of bold texture, compact form, and color that stands out among architectural plants.

Water: Water regularly during active growth, allowing excess water to drain freely. Dyckias generally appreciate more moisture during active growth than many desert succulents, but should not remain waterlogged.
Soil: Use a fast-draining, well-aerated growing medium that supports healthy roots while allowing excess moisture to escape.
Climate: Prefers warm growing conditions. Protect from prolonged cold and frost, particularly when plants are young or growing in containers.
